Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at our Rockport Works operation.
Under the direction of the Section Manager, the Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the design and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems.
This includes power systems, relay logic, motor controls, AC drives, programmable logic controllers, personal computers and instrumentation.
Summary of ResponsibilitiesDesign and installation supervision of projects that directly reduce down time or improve product qualityTroubleshoot and supervise repairs of electrical systemsAssist in outagesOversight of contractors and outside engineering firms workPerforms root cause analysis to determine equipment failures and initiates necessary corrective action to eliminate/reduce such failuresUpdates drawings, coordinates with equipment suppliers and outside engineering to specify design requirements for new / modified equipment to improve operating performance and / or equipment reliabilityOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Technical field or combination of education / experienceDemonstrated problem solving skillsSolid computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office productsAdapts effectively to changing plans and prioritiesAbility to work in a plant environment which includes extreme temperatures, noise, dust, dirt, and vibrationsPreferred QualificationsExperience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment Cleveland-Cliffs Inc.
